Sametime 1:04

This was not my first visit to the Sametime1:04 blog or my first encounter with this type of project. I was in intro photo with some of the members of sametime1:04 with Michael, our professor who introduced us to his project sametime7:15. So, that's a bit of background on my perspective on this project.
I have found myself to be a person who, when confronted by an image and text, often reads the image before reading the text. With that being said, I found myself having made my way through the first page of images before reading the "About Me"/ project proposal. Perhaps a different layout might call more attention to this important bit of text but I still found it and read it so it works.
After reading the "About Me" I made my way back down the page, this time checking to see if the members had adhered to the strict guidelines they had set for themselves which seemed to be what made the project significant. I was disappointed to see that there was a lack of consistency with making the daily posts. The fact that not everyone stuck to the one line of text limit did not bother me because most of the images needed the text to make the images matter to me.
In particular, I enjoyed Ben's posts. I got the sense that he was most likely a writer or at the very least just had more to say. Ben's posts told me about a person much like myself, in awe of the intricacy of the world around him. I preferred his perspective because it was familiar but also because it seemed most appropriate for this project. At 1:04 he turned into a fly on the wall rather than an active participant in some event.
I think that what the community is doing at 1:04 will always be more interesting than what any one person is doing. I would be interested in seeing this project take on that direction but I am but one observer and cannot speak for the masses.
